Selling without a certificate

Following the demerger of National Power when will I get my new share certificates? What do I do if I want to sell my shares before I get the certificates? RT, Huddersfield

Jeremy Batstone, analyst at NatWest Stockbrokers says: The company's registrar, Lloyds TSB Registrars, says the new certificates will be sent out over the next couple of weeks. There is a market in Innogy and International power shares already, even before certificates have been received. If you want to trade before you get your certificates because you are concerned that the price might fall, shop around to find a broker that will do the trade before you have the certificate. You will not get your money until you supply the certificates to them.
