Does the 30-Day Rule that replaced 'Bed & Breakfasting' at the end of the tax year to offset capital gains tax apply to shares bought and sold at other times of the year? Can I sell today and buy the same amount back tomorrow? MB, Neath.

Richard Banfield, chief analyst at Barclays Stockbrokers says: Unfortunately, the rule applies at any time during the year.
