Where has all my Pep gone?

Two years ago my husband and I put £6,000 each into Peps. My husband's Jupiter UK Growth Pep has units added each half-year, but I have not received any extra units on my Invesco GT European Acc plan. I know it has not performed very well but I would have expected to have more units now than when it was started as it is a growth fund. Can you explain? L.O, Milton Keynes

Anne McMeehan, Director of Communications at Autif (The Association of Unit Trusts and Investment Funds) says: Your lack of new units is due to the different systems used when it comes to the dividends (or income) that comes from their investment in shares.

Some funds, as in the case of Jupiter UK Growth, distribute the income by giving investors additional units in the trust. Others including your Invesco GT European Accumulation distribute the income to investors by using it to increase the price of existing units.
