Self-select limit?
HOW long must you keep shares in a self-select ISA before you can sell them? I have made a good profit on one share - do I have to let it stay for the full 12-month period? GF
Mark Dampier, independent financial adviser at Hargreaves Landsdown, says: There is no 12-month period any more. With a self-select Isa you can sell investments and leave the money in cash within the Isa and you will have no tax to pay. You may well be able to sell on the phone through your broker.
