Has my number come up?
I have some Premium Bonds but I have heard nothing since I got them in 1960. How can I find out if I have won anything? FM, Bucks.
Linda Whitney says: National Savings automatically contact you if you have won. So if you have not moved house since you bought the bonds, the chances are you have been unlucky. Take heart though - my husband's aunt bought some bonds when they were launched in the early '50s and won precisely zero until four years ago and then suddenly her number came up, and since them she's won several times.
If you still want to check, or you have moved house, call 0845 964 5000 and give your bondholder's number or your name, previous names (if any) and current or previous addresses. It will trace your bonds and tell you if you have won. You can also do this online, by clicking here Nsandi.
If you win National Savings will try to contact you for 18 months. After that it will hold on to your prize until you make contact. To avoid having to track down past prizes, always tell National Savings when you move house. Fill in your new details on your holders card or, if you have lost that, write with your old and new details, to Premium Bonds, National Savings, Blackpool FY3 9YP.
