I INVESTED £6,000 in a Royal Liver managed fund three years ago. It is now worth £5,400. Should I pull out of this fund ? JL, Birmingham.

Anna Bowes, independent financial adviser at Chase de Vere, says: The FTSE All share index has fallen by just over 7% in the last three years and o the Royal Liver fund has fallen by just over 10%, but its performance is in line with its sector.

You may get a better return by moving to a better-managed fund such as HSBC UK Growth & Income, or JPMorgan Fleming Balanced. Bear in mind there will be charges for this but as charges are a percentage of the value of the fund, which is now low, now is as good a time as any to change.
