Green fuel blues

I HAVE just bought a dual-fuel car to avoid having to pay the Central London congestion charge. Will I be better off after the Budget? PS, Ealing, West London.

This Is Money says: Sadly no. Though the news on fuel duty appears favourable for most motorists, it was much less so for cars that run on liquified petroleum gas (LPG). The duty has been increased by 2.4p a litre.

This may not seem much, but it represents a rise of 45%. The duty, which was previously 5.4p a litre, is now 7.82p a litre.
