Flexible working survey
WOULD you like to take time off to pick up the children, then catch up on work at home that evening? Or are you a traditional office drone who prefers a nine-to-five routine?

Financial Mail on Sunday wants your views on flexible working and how your workplace functions. Today, we launch our reader survey in association with Flexecutive, a recruitment consultancy that specialises in flexible work.
A recent study by charity Working Families found that almost half of working parents have no job flexibility. Carol Savage, chief executive of Flexecutive, says: 'Companies have started bringing in flexible working, but it is still not widespread. Organisations can fail if managers don't support change.'
Financial Mail Editor Lisa Buckingham says: 'We want to find out whether you agree that there should be limits on those who are eligible to work flexibly. Or should flexible working apply to all?'
Jack O'Hern uses modern technology to juggle his job as marketing director of Lincoln-based chartered accountant Wright Vigar and the responsibilities to his young family. Jack, 38, from Blankney, Lincolnshire, arrives home in time to see his two children, aged four and seven, then switches on the computer at 8pm to continue work. 'Even when I have a lot of work to do, I can meet my deadlines from home,' he says.
Savage says flexibility is not just for working parents. 'A person might have elderly parents or find they work more productively in a flexible environment,' she says. 'But once they realise they can deliver - while feeling less stress - they can never go back.'
