SuperTrash boss Olcay Gulsen thinks big
Dutch entrepreneur Olcay Gulsen is about to become a more familiar face in Britain.
In the New Year she will be on billboards and television adverts as the face of Samsung mobiles while her fashion business, SuperTrash, is expanding in the UK.
Gulsen was 22 when she dreamt up the idea for SuperTrash while talking about shoes at a Jimmy Choo fashion party in New York six years ago. She met LA socialite Ava Riley and within three months they launched the SuperTrash range.
Success: Fashion designer Olcay Gulsen is planning a massive expansion of her SuperTrash brand
The brand is now sold in 24 countries and is available in Britain through more than 200 outlets including Selfridges, ASOS and mywardrobe.com.
Gulsen, who is now the sole owner of the 22 million euro (£18.4 million) firm, said: 'We have tripled our turnover since last year.
'My dream is to have shops in all the big cities. I will open at least three or four stores in London next year and after that cities like Liverpool and Manchester will be lined up.'
