Beloved TV anchor quits role after seven years... with NO announcement about what she's doing next

A popular anchor at a Texas TV station has revealed she is leaving the network through a cryptic post on social media.

FOX 4 News Dallas-Fort Worth's Hanna Battah offered the abrupt update on her Instagram and Facebook pages Sunday.

She thanked colleagues for their '7.5 years' together but said it was time for her to 'sign off.'

'I’m filled with gratitude for the adventures, stories, and everyone who supported me and tuned in throughout my time at KDFW,' the 32-year-old revealed.

'This is the final week you'll be able to see me on your screens! My last day on the desk is this Thursday.'

No other details were provided.

Battah hosts Fox 4 Good Day from 4-6am.

She started appearing on the program in 2018, initially as an anchor on the weekend morning team.

Within three months of her debut, she was promoted to weekdays, her bio on Fox 4's website states.

Prior to her stint in Dallas-Ft. Worth,  Battah worked as an afternoon anchor and evening reporter at KBAK/ KBFX in Bakersfield, California.

Before that, she covered state politics in Missouri, reporting for radio stations in St. Louis, Kansas City and Springfield.

Her next move remains unclear.

However, a clue was provided in one of Battah's responses to a commenter on Facebook, where fans flocked to lament losing the local star.

'I can't share next plans quite yet, but I'm hoping to be able to VERY soon,' she teased in reply.
