SNL star says she should have KILLED Donald, Melania and Ivanka Trump during backstage meeting to 'save the world'
Former Saturday Night Live star Leslie Jones has revealed how she thought about killing members of the Trump family during a 2015 backstage gathering ahead of the then-candidate's appearance on the show.
Jones said she made the frightening remarks during a meal typically held for the cast and host ahead of every show.
The night's host, Donald Trump, was joined at the time by wife Melania, daughter Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner, Jones told the The Daily Beast‘s Last Laugh podcast Wednesday.
'Everybody was so uptight and scared,' she recalled.
'I remember turning to [co-star] Taran [Killam] and - I was just making a joke - it was Trump, then Melania, then [producer] Lindsay Shookus, then Ivanka, and Jared was sitting beside me.
'And I had already noticed that Jared - because we were trying to share fish - he wouldn’t eat off the plate that I would eat on.
'So I already knew what was up.
'So I looked at Taran and I said, "If I kill this whole side of the table, maybe I'll save the world."

'And then Taran was like, "Let me get my food to go first, because I don't wanna be here when you do that."'
Jones did not say whether anyone else heard her remarks.
'But I always think back, like, was I supposed to do it?' she continued. 'I would’ve saved the world! I would be in jail, but I would've saved the world.'
The November 7, 2015, episode featured both Trump and his daughter in several skits. Kushner and Melania did not appear.
During a table read beforehand, Trump appeared nervous, Jones added.
'I remember him walking into the [table read] room with all the sketches and he looked like a scared little boy. And you know, I never took that dude seriously,' she said.
Trump went on to win the 2016 election almost exactly a year later, scoring an upset over former First Lady Hillary Clinton.
Jones - a featured SNL featured player from 2014 to 2019 - has made a point to pan the president repeatedly ever since.

Just last month, during her own gues- hosting spot on The Daily Show, Jones accused Trump of attempting to whitewash the history of slavery in the US by moving to pull certain exhibits from the Smithsonian museum.
'Teaching slavery is not woke,' she said. 'It's history.'
Jones also called Trump a 'b**ch .'
