Jimmy Kimmel Live! will never return to TV, says staffer who predicts JUDGE JUDY will get slot instead
Jimmy Kimmel Live! will likely never return to the air after the host was pulled last week for his comments regarding Charlie Kirk, a staffer on the show has revealed.
'I want to think it will. But I can't imagine a scenario in which that happens,' the unnamed employee told journalist Rick Ellis.
'Even if Jimmy was willing to publicly apologize and donate money to whatever ghoulish conservative group that is demanding it.'
Kimmel was suspended last week after saying 'the MAGA gang' was attempting to portray the suspect in Charlie Kirk's assassination 'as anything other than one of them.'
'MAGA people will never be happy. It will never be enough,' the staffer said.
'And Disney will look at the situation and decide it's cheaper to buy out the rest of his contract and replace the show with reruns of Modern Family and Judge Judy.
'Somehow, they'll convince themselves the worst is behind them. Until a day or two pass and they find themselves having to defend Whoopi [Goldberg] and the other women of The View. And no one wants to be in that position.'
The staffer wasn't surprised that top brass didn't stand up for Kimmel after he was singled out by Federal Communication Commission Chairman Brendan Carr.

Several ABC affiliates refused to air Kimmel's show after Carr suggested the network could lose its license to broadcast.
ABC parent company Disney then made the decision to pull the show entirely.
'I had zero faith that any of the network execs had the slightest bit of stones to stand up for their employees. I mean, yeah, I was surprised it happened that specific day. But you could see it coming,' the staffer continued.
'Every time some MAGA a**hat would spout off about the show, the knot in my stomach just got tighter.'
When asked what they thought Kimmel's critics had a point, the staffer said: 'Even if I thought that, I would never say it out loud. I would feel as if I was betraying the show.
'But no, I don't think they had a point.
'The Trump folks are like that crooked cop who wants to pull over a driver and waits until they make some slight mistake. "Oh, I'm sorry, Mr. Black Guy, you didn't come to a complete stop and look both ways at that last stop sign."
'That's our show. We were always a running stop away from unemployment.'

On Sunday, Kimmel 's cousin hinted that there is more drama to come.
Sal Iacono, who is a longtime writer and performer on the show, said on The Bill Simmons Podcast 'there are a couple bombshells still there.'
'I'm feeling good. We're going to be all right. Everything's going to be just fine, Iacono said'.
Turning his attention to how Kimmel will cope, he continued: 'He'll be fine, whatever he wants to do.'
