Fashion: Yes YOU can...
…rock a colour block. Fashion director Shelly Vella shows you how
The golden rule when embracing colour blocking is to work with tones that complement your skin. As ever, this means trying things on and where one shade may not suit, another will – so persevere as unexpected combinations will flatter. First, try a fusion of muted colours and, to up the ante, add a hit of zing with accessories. When you’re feeling confident, give complementary brights a go – a paint chart is a great way of working out which colours fit together
1. Hot pink and cherry red? who knew! neutral accessories work best here 2. Natural brights always get along well... try orange and emerald green 3.Dark colours make brights pop, as seen here at Oscar de La Renta, and accessories bring the opposite hues together
