And today, Twitter was inundated with snaps from social media users across the globe, testing out FaceApp's new 'age filter' as part of the latest viral #agechallenge.
The quirky app is famed for its funny filters, which allow users to swap genders, shed years, and most recently, add a few decades to their age - with the help of a few wrinkles and grey hairs.
Sharing the results to social media, users were equally horrified and amused by the results, with one joking: 'Now I look like my mum!'.
Another questioned: 'Not sure how everyone else manages to look so good in their old age!', among the influx of remarkably realistic snaps.
