'This is the SECOND time he's done this!' People on Twitter are OUTRAGED that Trump's State of the Union pushes back the latest episode of This Is Us by TWO weeks

The broadcast of the next episode of hit series This Is Us on NBC has been delayed because of President Donald Trump’s 2019 State of the Union address, and fans of the show are venting their frustration on Twitter. 

The upcoming episode of the drama's third season would have originally aired on January 29 — but when the State of the Union was marked for that day, networks like NBC pushed all new programming back, giving This Is Us a February 5 air date. 

Now, however, the State of the Union has been rescheduled and is set to take place on February 5, meaning This Is Us has been pushed all the way back to February 12 — and fans are not happy about it.

NBC announced on Tuesday that they will stall the highly-anticipated next episode of the family drama, which was due to air on February 5 after already being pushed back from its original air date of January 29. 

The broadcasting company revealed that the episode would be delayed so it can air President Trump’s State of the Union address, which was moved from its originally scheduled date of January 29 because of the government shutdown.

The show's finale, which was originally due to be aired on March 26, was also subsequently pushed back.

Now, the final episode in the season will hit television screens on April 2.

And as the news reached fans of This Is Us, they took to Twitter to reveal that they weren't happy. 

One Twitter user, @CT14sooner, said: 'I like politics but for real This Is Us being delayed a week for a state of the union that didn't happen and now being delayed another week for the real state of the union is ridiculous #EnoughIsEnough.' 

Another angry user @EmbraceTheJ, added: 'Ok I'm mad because this boiled fanta keeps personally attacking me. This is the second time he's done this. 

'We just became able to breathe after the mid-section return and deserve consistency. He's making us wait another week for the finale?' they added.

Twitter user @emily_batten said: 'No matter your opinion on Trump I think we can all objectively agree Trump is the worst for getting this us postponed not one but TWO weeks in a row.' 

'I've been trying to keep my mouth shut about Trump, but his State of the Union just pushed back the This Is Us season three finale and that is where I draw the damn line,' added Twitter user @c_teezy_.

Meanwhile, others were left confused as to why their go-to show wasn't airing at its usual times of Tuesday nights at 9:00pm.

User @mrkgprpro said: 'Okay am I losing my mind or was @NBCThisisUs not on, on Tuesday?! Dear @nbc can you please stop doing that! 

'I look forward to watching it every week ugh! #ThisIsUs @ThisIsUsWriters I need my Jack fix every week plss! Lol.' 

Another user @elliehatley said: 'Got comfy on the couch with my glass of wine ready to watch the latest episode of #ThisIsUs only to find out it's not airing till Feb 12 because of Trump's State of the Union speech, which was delayed because of his government shutdown.

'He literally ruins everything,' she added. 

And it isn't the first time the annual event disrupted the show's schedule.

In 2018, a similar situation arose when President Trump's February 28 address to Congress caused NBC to push back broadcasts of the popular drama. 

As a result, an episode of the drama that was due to be broadcast on February 28 was pushed to March 7.

The season's finale was also pushed back a week as a result. 

And just like this year, when the shift in the schedule was announced, those who regularly tune in to watch the show weren't impressed. 

'Trump is messing up a lot of things, but now the #ThisIsUs season finale? Unforgivable!!' wrote Twitter user @anchorless757 at the time. Another under the handle @fannieBP wrote: 'I CANT BELIEVE TRUMP EVEN RUINS MY ENJOYMENT OF TV SHOWS NOW!!! #DumpTrump #ThisIsUs.'

This Is Us follows the lives of the Pearson family which consists of three siblings, Kate, Kevin and Randall, and their parents Jack and Rebecca.  

Mandy Moore and Milo Ventimiglia, who star as the triplet's parents, are among the cast of the comedy-drama, which first aired in September 2016. 

Sterling K. Brown, Chrissy Metz and Justin Hartley also star in the show.
