Lizzie Cundy vows to ditch skimpy dresses and lycra after a make-UNDER knocks '20 years off' her appearance on This Morning – and admits she was 'stuck in the Eighties'

  • Lizzie Cundy, 50, underwent a stunning 'make-under' on This Morning today
  • She swapped her usual skimpy dresses for a sophisticated blouse and trousers
  • The reality TV was transformed by Gok Wan, who said she looked a lot younger
  • Lizzie was a little unsure at first, but has vowed to ditch the Lycra and 80s styles

She's known for showing off her slim figure in barely-there dresses and low-cut necklines.

But Lizzie Cundy, 50, has now vowed to transform her wardrobe after getting a makeover on this morning

Guest presenter Gok Wan styled Lizzie in a smart geometric print blouse with flared white trousers and said he had 'taken 20 years off' her with the new look.

In response Lizzie, who had arrived at the ITV studios in a thigh-skimming white summer dress, promised to ditch her love of Eighties clothes, admitting she was stuck in a fashion rut.

The TV personality, who was once married to footballer Jason Cundy, told how she had worn Lycra since childhood, joking that she even had babygrows made out of the material.

So it is of little wonder she was a little uncertain of her new polished look when she strutted onto the This Morning catwalk and was surprised when Rylan Clark-Neal paid her a compliment.

She said: 'You like this? I have to say Gok, I was scared before because, as I said, I live in Lycra, I was born in Lycra. I'm stuck in an 80s rut and I have to change it.'

Gok, who was hosting the show with Rylan, was thrilled with the results, and said it made the mum-of-two look younger.

He told Lizzie: 'We just scooped off 20-odd years off you, you look amazing.'

It comes just weeks after Lizzie was given another 'make-under' on ITV's Lorraine.

She was dressed in a sophisticated blue and white striped top with summery white trousers on the ITV chat show.

The look was inspired by the outfit worn by Meghan Markle at the Women's Final at Wimbledon last month.

Clearly thrilled with the makeover, Lizzie said: 'I feel emotional, I can't believe how different I look- and these wedge shoes are so comfortable!'
