I keep shaking him but he won't wake

My dream is so strange. I often dream that I am trying to wake my husband up so that he can wake me up, even though I feel that I am already awake.

I feel that I am shaking him and shouting his name. It seems like I am really awake when this is happening even though my husband usually wakes me up because of my muffled noises.

He says that he never feels me shaking him even though I feel that I am really do this. I remember the dreams very clearly and they are very frightening, as I am unable to wake up. This has been a reoccurring dream over a few years.
