Katy Perry has been branded as 'selfish' and 'wasteful' after she threw a huge birthday cake at her crew, which then splattered all over the floor.
The I Kissed a Girl hitmaker, who celebrated her 41st birthday on October 25, uploaded a video of herself blowing out gold candles on the buttercream-covered sheet cake before bizarrely destroying it just seconds later.
In the clip, which she shared with her 202 million followers on Tuesday, Perry was seen running with the baked good in her hands before launching it at a seemingly unsuspecting member of her crew.
Upon seeing the item being hurled at him, the crew member ducked out of the way, and it then splashed on the floor.
Perry was seen in a fit of giggles over the stunt, while onlookers watched in shock.
As the camera panned to show the collapsed cake in a heap, some people approached it and tried pieces of it so it wasn't completely wasted.
Social media users hit out at Perry for the wasteful act afterwards, especially as millions around the world starve.
