Nobel Prize-winning author Gabriel García Márquez’s most famous book is brought to life in this new Netflix adaptation, which stars Marco González and Susana Morales.
The story follows cousins José and Úrsula, who defy their parents' wishes by marrying and setting out on a daring journey in search of a new home. With a group of adventurous friends by their side, their voyage leads them to the creation of a utopian town along the banks of a mystical river filled with prehistoric stones, which they name Macondo. Over the course of several generations, the Buendía family will shape the destiny of this mythical town, its fate entwined with madness, impossible loves, a brutal and absurd war, and a terrible curse. This curse condemns them to a century of solitude, where hope fades and the weight of their legacy becomes inescapable.
La Palma – release date: December 12
