Aldi is launching a line of Elemis skincare dupes more than 90% cheaper than the originals

Since launching 30 years ago, Elemis has become one of the most recognisable luxury skincare ranges on the market. Loved by beauty buffs for its combination of effective formulas, commitment to sustainability and luxury packaging, the brand was a pioneer of clean, medical-grade skincare before TikTok favourites like Drunk Elephant even existed.

But as you’d expect given Elemis' popularity with A-listers and editors alike, its products have an exclusive price tag. One of its bestsellers, the Pro-Collagen Marine Day Cream, will set you back £95. If you’ve for the cash it’s a worthwhile splurge: 100% of testers agreed it dramatically reduced the appearance of wrinkles and was the most effective anti-ageing product they’d ever used. Ultimately, however, we don’t all have that much money to spend on even the crème de la crème of, ahem, crèmes.

Luckily, there’s another, rather more budget friendly, option. Aldi is launching an Elemis-inspired luxury Marine skincare range, with prices starting at just 4% of the original line's.

The new Lacura by Aldi range contains everything from overnight masks to day creams and facial oils, and is formulated with hero ingredients algae extract and collagen. And while the products don’t contain all the same complex medical ingredients as Elemis’ formulas, for 96% cheaper, they’re an alternative worth considering if you’re trying to save money before Christmas.

Those lusting after Elemis staple Pro-Collage Marine Day Cream might swap for Lacura’s Marine Day Cream, a moisturising salve that boosts elasticity and helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles (and it's £88 cheaper than the Elemis moisturiser).

There’s also a Lacura Marine Overnight Mask that you leave on while you sleep – like Elemis’s cult favourite Pro-Collagen Overnight Matrix – for radiant skin come morning. While Elemis’s version is an eye-watering £160, Aldi’s is priced at a much more palatable £6.99.

If you fancy the complete set, there’s also a Lacura Marine Facial Cleanser, Moisurising Essence and Facial Oil that each come in around 90% cheaper than their Elemis counterpart. What’s more, they come in chic turquoise packaging that will look super chic on your bathroom counter.

The new Aldi range will be available in stores from 8th December, perfect to get you glowing before your Christmas parties. While you’re there, keep your eyes peeled for the supermarket’s viral perfume dupes that'll keep you smelling gorgeous for a fraction of the price. More money to spend on mulled wi- sorry, we mean Christmas presents.
