Major supermarket cafe is giving away FREE meals to customers - but you have to say the secret code word to claim the £4 dish

Morrisons is providing customers with free meals this month - but you'll have to mention a simple secret code to claim the dish.

The British supermarket chain has teamed up with Heinz to give away free meals worth £4 in all of its cafés for a limited time in July.

Customers can request a free jacket potato topped with Heinz Cheesy Beanz in any Morrisons café across the UK when they 'Ask for Henry.'

This initiative runs until July 14 and aims to offer some financial relief to families, especially as they face the beginning of the school holidays without the support of school meal programmes.

In addition to the 'Ask for Henry' promotion, Morrisons will continue its Kids Eat Free initiative.

This program allows families to access a free kids' meal when purchasing any adult main meal costing over £5.

The offer is available every day, seven days a week, for any child under 16 at Morrisons Cafés nationwide.

At any time throughout the two-week promotion, shoppers can claim the free jacket potato with Heinz Cheesy Beanz by using various phrases such as 'Is Henry here?,' 'Can I have a Henry?,' or simply 'Henry.'

All Morrisons Café staff have been trained to recognise these phrases and provide the free meal - no questions asked.

This initiative follows successful campaigns in 2022 and 2023, during which Morrisons and Heinz provided meals to tens of thousands of customers.

While the offer is not a permanent solution to food poverty, it represents a meaningful effort to help those in need during a challenging time.

Chris Strong, Morrisons Café Senior Buying Manager, said: 'Customers continue to tell us how grateful they were for our previous "Ask for Henry" initiatives and so we’re really pleased to be bringing it back.

'We know that the busy summer months can add to customers’ financial pressures, especially with extra mouths to feed, so we’re pleased to be partnering with Heinz and offering this delicious meal.'

Alessandra de Dreuille, Heinz Director of Meals and Insights, said: 'We have had an overwhelmingly positive response from our previous ‘Ask for Henry’ initiatives with Morrisons, and so we’re thrilled to be able to bring it back for a third year, and this time with our new Cheesy Beanz for all to enjoy.

'This offer is open to absolutely everyone – and so we'd encourage anyone who feels they need a warming meal to head to their local Morrisons café.'

'Here at Heinz, we’re passionate about helping solve food poverty in the UK, and whilst we know this offer won’t fix the issue, we're pleased to be able to help as many people as we can over this two-week summer period.'

Meanwhile, parents can jump for joy as a range of restaurants, supermarkets and hotels are offering free meals to children during the UK summer holiday.

High street chains, supermarkets such as Asda, Sainsbury's and Morrisons, and selected Gordon Ramsay restaurants are among the outlets offering meals for free or for as little as £1.
