Private life of plants - To make this series, David Attenborough and his team travelled to all corners of the globe, from the tropical jungles of Borneo to the harsh deserts of Africa, from the highest mountains to the thickest swamps. Using time-lapse photography and state-of-the-art techniques specially developed for the series, he shows us plant life in action as it has never been seen before. Using only simple resources, plants can grow to become the biggest of all living organisms – the Californian redwoods – and the most ancient – the bristlecone pines. In some places where food is scarce, they have to find their sustenance elsewhere. So they even trap animals. To view a sample of this DVD click here
