Your orchid will be packed in a protective, reinforced tube along with growing instructions, details of the species and the history of its variety. The orchid will be about a foot in height and will come in a four-inch pot. We will also send you extra repotting material. Your beautiful orchid will be from the Zygopetalum family. This is a handsome, glossy leaved orchid from South America. Its name means ‘yoked petal’ and refers to the yoke-like growth at the base of the flower lip. There are 18 species of Zygopetalum and many have multiple blooms that often last for eight weeks. They make excellent cut flowers.
