Born in 1939, Japanese-French designer Kenzo Takada discovered a love of fashion as a teenager when he began reading his sister’s magazines.
Starting out by selling sketches for 25 cents each to Paris fashion houses, in 1970 he finally opened his first boutique, Jungle Lap.
His colourful and eclectic designs are immortalised in this fabulous book, with sketches from his private collection and photographs from his catwalks and campaigns. It’s perfect for diving into when life feels a bit drab.
