Clarifications and corrections

An article on February 1 about GPs voting to demand separate contracts to fund work required for safe care of patients in residential homes wrongly suggested that Dr Sam Hilton, who practises near Exeter, had remarked in that a visit to a care home ‘can take a half day for a dozen patients’. In fact he said it can take ‘a half day to care for 50 patients’ and went on to recommend weekly ‘ward rounds’. We are happy to set the record straight.
