Clarifications & corrections

An article on December 17 incorrectly stated that 9pc of local authority homes are now lived in by foreign tenants and that the proportion occupied by Eastern Europeans has doubled since 2010 to 4pc. 

We are happy to clarify that the Department for Communities and Local Government statistics on which these claims were based in fact relate to new lettings rather than all social housing stock.
