Revealed: How to get a Wendy's burger for just 25 cents
Wendy's is the latest restaurant to get in on the action as restaurants turn to increasingly inventive promotions to win over customers. The fast food empire has teamed up with Grubhub to offer customers a 'Dave's Single' cheeseburger for just 25 cents. The quarter-pound comes with tomato, lettuce, ketchup, mayo and onions on a toasted bun.
All customers are qualified for the deal provided their Grubhub order subtotal is at least $20 before taxes, tips and delivery fees. Grubhub users with a hunger for Wendy's could also save even more money if they opt for food pickup instead of delivery.
Customers can take advantage of the 25-cent deal now until January 13. Besides the cheeseburger discount, Wendy's began offering a new 2 for $7 deal at participating US locations on January 6. Wendy's called its new 2 for $7 deal 'the perfect way to satisfy both your hunger and your wallet.'
The four menu items featured in this deal are the Spicy Chicken Sandwich, Classic Chicken Sandwich, 10-piece Nuggs, and the Dave's Single Cheeseburger. Customers can select two of those four food options and buy them at a participating restaurant for only $7. However, the total price may vary depending on taxes and restaurant location.
Hungry customers will need to download the Wendy's app to access the Meal Deals section and place an order. Wendy's fans interested in creating unique combinations with the food selections can follow pro tips left by the fast food empire.
According to the restaurant chain, the Spicy Chicken Sandwich and the Classic Chicken Sandwich are the 'ultimate poultry power couple.' Wendy's also suggested bite-sized food enthusiasts to stick with 10-piece Spicy or Crispy Nuggs.
'No matter the combo you crave, Wendy's makes it deliciously easy,' read the January 6 press release. Wendy's is one of several restaurant chains that began offering special deals on menu items to kick off 2025.
McDonald's new McValue platform launched on January 7 and is accessible at all of its US locations. Two popular features on the McValue menu at the moment are the Buy One, Add One for $1 offer and the $5 Meal Deal . The chain's Double Cheeseburger is one of the food options on the Buy One, Add One for $1 meal.
Its $5 meal allows customers to choose between a McDouble or a McChicken sandwich, with small fries, 4-piece Chicken McNuggets, and a small soft drink. However, foodies on Reddit have been fast to criticize possible flaws in the new menu with some voicing concerns that the discounts offered are less generous than they initially appeared. Burger King also began offering its customers a new limited-time $5 Duo deal on January 9, which will last until March 3.
With this deal, customers will be allowed to order two menu items such as the Whopper Junior or Original Chicken Sandwich for $5. The fast food giant also began offering a $7 Trio deal where customers can order three items instead of two.
Other specials that restaurant chains will be running this month include the 'Meal of the Day' at Subway and the upcoming $5 to $9 Luxe Craving Boxes at Taco Bell. Fast food restaurants have been clambering to attract customers amid a value meal war. Several fast food chains revamped its menus in 2024 to include value meals that cost less than $10.
