Edie does it for a sparkling Sienna

Sienna Miller was adamant - 'it's all coming off!' We were sitting in the grand ballroom of the Hotel des Baines on the Venice Lido, and I feared there was about to be an incident where I might have to blush, but Sienna gave me a gentle pat on the back and explained.
After the run of As You Like It ends in the West End, Sienna will take a break abroad and then fly to the U.S. to portray Andy Warhol's muse Edie Sedgwick in the film Factory Girl. "This was the Sixties, so when I do Edie I'll chop off all my hair," she said as she toyed with her golden tresses. "It'll be great to cut it - and great to play Edie. She was gorgeous, but she destroyed herself."
So, a very different woman from the early feminist she plays in the funny comedy romp that is Casanova, in which she stars opposite Heath Ledger as the legendary swordsman.
In Casanova, which had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival, Sienna appears in a couple of scenes as a bloke.
"This was 1753 and women were meant to remain in the home and not go away to university. Her way of getting round it was to dress as a man," the 24-year-old actress had told me when we chatted the night before at a lavish bash for Casanova in the Doge's Palace.
She had been a complete star that evening. Rain had drenched her eye-poppingly low-cut, strapless Dior gown but she still strode the red carpet in her silver Jimmy Choos, unlike some who ran for shelter.
She looked like a million dollars - and was sporting a stunning necklace worth probably that much and then some, made of platinum, diamonds and pink sapphires with matching earrings and ring, all from Adler's, the London jewellers.
On the flight over from Gatwick, Sienna was keen not to draw attention to the gems - including a pair of brown diamond earrings she'd worn during the day - so she stashed them in a plastic carrier bag.
"They're probably worth about a million, but the bag made it less obvious that I was carrying something very expensive," she told me.
