TODAY, the Prime Minister has a meeting in London with France's President, Jacques Chirac. There won't be a presidential entourage of almost 1,000, or any of the ridiculous fol- de-rols which attended last week's state visit of George W. Bush.
Instead, Messrs Chirac and Blair will talk about how best to mark next year's 100th anniversary of the Anglo-French Entente Cordiale. What a relief to return to the real world.
