DETROIT, February 2025 – Crain Communications announces the transition of its Chief Financial Officer role as Bob Recchia moves into a Strategic Advisor position after nearly a decade of service.

Recchia joined Crain Communications in 2016, bringing more than 30 years of financial leadership experience. As CFO, he played a key role in shaping the company’s financial strategy, driving growth through acquisitions, enhancing operational efficiencies, and strengthening financial discipline. His leadership supported Crain’s long-term expansion and operational improvements, contributing to the company’s continued success. In his new role, Recchia will provide strategic financial guidance on key initiatives.

Succeeding Recchia as CFO is Kevin Demorest, who joined Crain Communications in February 2025. Demorest brings more than 15 years of experience in corporate finance, most recently serving as Chief Financial Officer at global law firm Clark Hill. He was responsible for all aspects of the firm’s finance and accounting functions, including financial planning and analysis, revenue cycle management, strategic planning and growth, expense management, merger integrations, treasury, risk management, and business analytics. His expertise spans pricing, profitability enhancement, and process improvement through the use of technology. Kevin holds an undergraduate degree in Government from Harvard University and an MBA focused in Corporate Finance from the University of Detroit Mercy.
