Raising healthy boys, at home and in the community.

Boys are growing up in a world where social media, gaming, and influencers shape how they see themselves and others. From body image pressures to finding community online, digital life is a source of both connections and challenges.

Our new research uncovers the important data and points toward solutions to help parents and communities find healthy ways to support developing boys.

What our new research says...

  • 94% of boys are online daily through social media or gaming, and 73% are regularly being exposed to content with messages and stereotypes about what it means to "be a man."
  • Two in three boys aren't looking for this content—algorithms are driving their exposure to content and influencers who may not always have their best interests in mind.
  • Boys with strong real-world relationships show better self-esteem and are less lonely.

So what can parents and communities do to help raise and support healthy boys?
