Product Uniqueness & Traceability Statement

At C&B, each piece of jewellery is meticulously handcrafted, ensuring every item is a one-of-a-kind creation. Due to the bespoke nature of our designs, our products are not produced as part of standardised lots or batches.

As such, there is no lot or batch tracking system in place. However, we maintain rigorous quality assurance processes to ensure the safety and craftsmanship of each individual item.

General Care

  1. Avoid Harsh Chemicals:
    • Jewellery should be kept away from household cleaners, chlorine, bleach, or acetone, as they can damage metals and gemstones.
  2. Remove Jewellery During Activities:
    • Take off jewellery before swimming, exercising, or doing household chores to prevent exposure to sweat, abrasive surfaces, or impacts.
  3. Store Properly:
    • Store pieces in a soft-lined box or pouch to prevent scratches.
    • Keep jewellery in separate compartments or individual bags to avoid tangling or scratching between items.

Cleaning

  1. Gentle Cleaning Only:
    • Use mild soap and lukewarm water with a soft-bristle brush or a lint-free cloth.
    • Avoid using toothpaste or other abrasive substances, which can scratch softer gemstones and metals.
  2. Professional Cleaning:
    • Recommend regular professional cleaning for a deep, safe clean and inspection for wear or loose settings.
    • Heat Sensitivity:
      • Caution against exposing gems on the birthstone charms and other pieces to high heat, which can alter their colour or structure.

Everyday Tips

  1. Remove Jewellery Before Sleeping:
    • This prevents damage from accidental tugging or twisting.
  2. Avoid Lotions and Perfumes:
    • Put jewellery on last when getting ready, as lotions, perfumes, and hair products can leave residues.

Regular Maintenance

  1. Check Settings:
    • Regularly inspect links and clasps to ensure stones are secure and prevent accidental loss.
  2. Polishing:
    • Recommend periodic polishing with a soft polishing cloth to restore shine and remove small scratches.
