Maple Leafs' Bobby McMann: Tallies game-winner Monday
McMann scored the game-winning goal and added four hits in Monday's 4-3 win over the Penguins.
Pittsburgh led 3-0 after two periods, but McMann had the fourth and final goal in a span of 10:12 for the Maple Leafs that flipped the game around in the third. The tally ended an eight-game skid for McMann, who still had 10 shots and 23 hits in that span. The 29-year-old may be a little streaky at times, but he's getting steady middle-six minutes. His recent slump has cost him a power-play role for now, but he could get it back if he warms up. For the season, McMann has four points, 21 shots, 41 hits and a plus-1 rating over 13 appearances.

Maple Leafs' Morgan Rielly: Two helpers Monday
Rielly picked up two assists in Monday's 4-3 win over the Penguins.
Both helpers came in the third period as the Leafs rallied from a 3-0 deficit, with Rielly having a hand in the first of two tallies by William Nylander as well as Bobby McMann's game-winner. It was Rielly's first multi-point performance since Oct. 11, but the veteran blueliner has been reliably productive to begin the season, collecting two goals and nine points in 12 games.

Maple Leafs' Auston Matthews: Two-point effort against Pens
Matthews scored a goal and added an assist in Monday's 4-3 win over Pittsburgh.
The Leafs captain sparked a comeback from a 3-0 deficit early in the third period, as he took a blue line-to-blue line feed from Jake McCabe and then went five-hole on Tristan Jarry. Matthews has had a bit of a sluggish start to the season, but he's found the back of the net in back-to-back games and has seven goals and 11 points through 13 contests.

Maple Leafs' William Nylander: Three points in comeback win
Nylander scored two goals and added an assist in Monday's 4-3 win over the Penguins.
All three points came in the third period as the Leafs rallied from a 3-0 deficit after 40 minutes. Nylander had missed three of the prior four games with a lingering lower-body injury, but Monday's performance indicated he's fully healthy now. The 29-year-old has gotten onto the scoresheet in seven straight appearances dating back to Oct. 14, racking up four goals and 14 points over that stretch.

Maple Leafs' Anthony Stolarz: Hangs on for win Monday
Stolarz stopped 34 shots in Monday's 4-3 win over the Penguins.
The Maple Leafs were outshot 37-20 on the night and were down 3-0 heading into the third period, but Stolarz was sharp in the second to prevent the game from getting out of hand, and he shut the door in the final frame once his offense began to wake up. The 31-year-old netminder has won three straight starts, allowing no more than three goals in each, and through 10 outings this season, he's 5-4-1 with a 3.12 GAA and an .896 save percentage.

Maple Leafs' Scott Laughton: Getting close to return
Laughton (lower body) is close to making his season debut, Lance Hornby of The Toronto Sun reports Monday.
Laughton remains on injured reserve and will miss his 13th straight game against Pittsburgh on Monday. It remains unclear when he will return to the lineup, but the wait may not be much longer. Once Laughton receives the green light to play, he will likely occupy a bottom-six role.

Maple Leafs' Steven Lorentz: Not playing Monday
Lorentz (upper body) won't play against Pittsburgh on Monday, according to Luke Fox of Sportsnet.
Lorentz participated in Monday's morning skate and is feeling much better, but he will miss his second straight game. However, he hopes to be an option for Wednesday's contest against Utah. Lorentz has contributed four assists, eight shots on goal, five blocked shots and 18 hits through eight appearances this season.

Maple Leafs' William Nylander: Good to go for Monday
Nylander (lower body) expects to play in Monday's matchup against Pittsburgh, Pierre LeBrun of TSN reports.
Nylander is poised to return to the lineup after missing three of the past four games. Based on the morning skate, he will see playing time on the second line and first power-play unit. Nylander has compiled three goals, 12 assists and 14 shots on net through nine appearances this season.

Maple Leafs' Anthony Stolarz: Drawing home start Monday
Stolarz will defend the home crease against the Penguins on Monday, Mark Masters of TSN reports.
After a shaky start to the regular season, Stolarz has turned things around lately, going 2-0-0 with a 2.50 GAA and .919 save percentage over his last two starts. He'll attempt to remain effective against the Penguins, who are tied for eighth in the NHL with 3.54 goals per game to begin the year.

Maple Leafs' Chris Tanev: Back on IR
Tanev (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Sunday.
The Maple Leafs recalled Dakota Mermis from AHL Toronto in a corresponding move. Tanev missed four straight outings due to a concussion before returning to the lineup against Philadelphia on Saturday. However, he suffered another injury in the contest, and he will miss at least the next three games after landing back on the IR list. It's unclear when he will be available to return to the lineup.

Maple Leafs' Dakota Mermis: Recalled from AHL
Mermis was recalled from AHL Toronto on Sunday.
Chris Tanev (upper body) has been placed on injured reserve, and Mermis has been brought up in a corresponding move by the Maple Leafs. The 31-year-old Mermis has appeared in just three games between the AHL and NHL levels so far this season, recording no points in any of them. He will likely just serve as depth for now.

Maple Leafs' Chris Tanev: Discharged and headed home
Tanev (upper body) was evaluated overnight, discharged and will head home to Toronto, the Maple Leafs announced Sunday.
In a scary play, Tanev was injured Saturday after a collision with Matvei Michkov, and the defenseman had to be stretchered off the ice. It remains to be seen how much time, if any, the 35-year-old will miss. Tanev has two assists in eight appearances this year.

Maple Leafs' Calle Jarnkrok: Gets empty-netter in win
Jarnkrok scored an empty-net goal, added two PIM and levied three hits in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Flyers.
Jarnkrok briefly had to leave the game after taking a shot off the lower body, but the 34-year-old was able to return. He was just coming back from a two-game absence due to a different lower-body issue. Jarnkrok has four goals, 11 shots on net, six hits, four PIM and a minus-4 rating over nine appearances this season. His steady defensive play makes him a good fit for the bottom six, but he probably won't score consistently enough to help in many fantasy formats.

Maple Leafs' Anthony Stolarz: Secures another win
Stolarz stopped 31 of 33 shots in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Flyers.
Stolarz allowed a goal early in the first period to Christian Dvorak and one late in the third, scored by Tyson Foerster on the power play. In between, the Maple Leafs scored four times, and Stolarz was sharp to maintain the lead they built throughout the final frame. The 31-year-old netminder is now 4-4-1 on the year with a 3.13 GAA and an .893 save percentage through nine starts. The Maple Leafs are set to return home for the next four games, beginning with Monday's matchup against the Penguins.

Maple Leafs' Jake McCabe: Three points in last four games
McCabe scored a goal in a 5-2 win over the Flyers on Saturday.
McCabe lofted a shot from the center of the blue line that went in through a screen at 8:14 of the second period. It pushed the score to 2-1 in favor of the Leafs. He has three points (one goal, two assists) in his last four games, but he may be focused on more shutdown situations in the near future after Chris Tanev (upper body) was stretchered off the ice Saturday.

Maple Leafs' Easton Cowan: Gets first NHL goal in win
Cowan scored a goal Saturday in a 5-2 win over the Flyers.
It was Cowan's first NHL goal just 33 seconds into the third period to make it 4-1, taking a pass off the rush from John Tavares and forcing Dan Vladar from the game. Cowan has three points in his last five games, and he appears to be gaining confidence in his first season in the NHL. That isn't enough to make him a regular in redraft formats, but his dynasty value is as good as ever.

Maple Leafs' Nicholas Robertson: Two-point night including winner
Robertson scored a goal and added an assist in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Flyers.
Robertson's goal stood as the winner. He pushed the score to 3-1 late in the second period when he took a drop pass from Matthew Knies and beat Dan Vladar from the high slot. Robertson has three points, including two goals, in his last three games, and he's seeing time on the top line with Auston Matthews and Matthew Knies. Robertson has a chance to prove he should be a permanent fixture in the top six.
