I have been a BuzzFeed Shopping writer since 2017, with a focus on unique, practical products, up-to-date parenting finds, and up-and-coming home decor. I began my writing career while living in a porta-potty sized apartment in Reykjavík, Iceland where I wrote about not knowing what I was doing. Was I the only person in the country who wore a Halloween costume in public? I certainly was. So I wrote about it. My awkward little blog ended up becoming my expat paradise and it, in turn, helped me get my next gig in New York.
I spent the next handful of years switching gears from dried shark taste testing to waxing poetic about the whimsically chic selections at a mom and pop toy store in Park Slope, Brooklyn. I fell so in love with the shop that I moved to the neighborhood, where I am to this day.
When I'm not writing about home goods, parenting products, and highlighting my favorite good lookin' online finds on BuzzFeed, I spend my time in my local taxidermy class, hunting for oddities I call home decor, and hanging out with my hairless cats.
