Approved Meet and Greet Parking Operator Scheme ® (AM-GO)
|
The UK’s ONLY police supported assessment of meet and greet parking operators.
The BPA Approved Meet and Greet Parking Operator Scheme (AM-GO) ® is now live.
It is the UK’s only police supported, on-the-ground assessment certifying airport meet and greet parking operators on their safety and customer service standards. The BPA is working with its members, major airports, and key stakeholders - including the police - to deliver this scheme which will become the recognised standard for airports and off-airport Meet and Greet parking operators nationally.

Safer Parking Across the UK
As a not-for-profit organisation, raising standards and safety in parking, reducing crime and monitoring customer service across the sector are the key aims of the British Parking Association. We also work very closely with the police, which is why all AM-GO parking sites must meet the police supported Park Mark standard and are assessed regularly by our team and Police. The Park Mark ® standard is part of the Safer Parking Scheme which the BPA manages on behalf of Police CPI. Park Mark ® is a crime and fear of crime prevention initiative which audits and certifies carparks on their safety.

What is AM-GO?
Just like the Safer Parking Scheme, which the BPA manage on behalf of Police Crime Prevention Initiatives, AM-GO aims to raise standards and drive out crime across the UK. You wouldn’t book your holiday or hotel without doing your research and checking out reviews first, and this scheme allows you to do just that when booking your car onto a meet and greet service. There are some brilliant service providers who have worked hard to qualify for our scheme. Now you can book our AM-GO operators with confidence that you can travel with your mind at ease.
From the moment you book your Meet and Greet service online, whether direct with a provider or through a consolidator, to your arrival at the airport and handover of keys, AM-GO members have commited to to providing excellent customer service. It is hoped that this new standard in airport Meet and Greet parking can help make rogue and unscrupulous operators a thing of the past.
All AM-GO members have committed to adhere to the Code of Practice.

If you are a meet and greet operator, and would like to join the scheme to become nationally trusted for your customer service and safety practices complete this form and we will send you more information and an estimate of the scheme fees. We are welcoming applications from Airports, Operators, Booking agents and Consolidators to be a part of this groundbreaking scheme.
Please note, the BPA is a not-for-profit organisation, so all proceeds from AM-GO or any of our schemes are used to continually promote and raise standards within parking.
Our new AM-GO scheme ensures that:
- Airports have designated, clearly marked and signposted Meet and Greet drop-off and pick-up zones
- Meet and Greet staff, including drivers, will be qualified, professional fully insured, and will carry ID cards and wear uniforms at all times
- Vehicles will be safely stored in a Park Mark ® accredited facility and cars won’t be driven any further than stated on the booking confirmation
- Both airports and AM-GO members will be regularly assessed and monitored by BPA qualified auditors to uphold the highest standards and exemplary customer service
- Motorists will be signposted to a single, reliable data source for AM-GO members and can be confident of leaving their vehicle with an Approved Meet and Greet Operator
The BPA has a number of nationally recognised schemes making parking safer across the UK and even Europe as we are a founding member of the European Parking Association. These schemes include Park Access, which is the British Parking Association’s UK-wide accessibility accreditation which certifies parking and electric vehicle charging facilities as accessible and inclusive. We also have the Safer Parking Scheme (SPS) certifying car parks on their safety, which includes Park Mark ®, Park Mark Plus, and Park Mark Freight. All of these are available, inlcuding Park Access, on our Park Mark Car Park Finder.
AM-GO members must comply with our code, so if you have a negative experience please complain directly to the AM-GO operator FIRST, if your complaint is not resolved by the operator, please email us at meetandgreet@britishparking.co.uk. We will be grateful for you letting us know about the incident, and we will be happy to advise you. We have a sanctions process here at the BPA, so operators may lose their status if they are repeatedly in breach of our standards. Your feedback gives us the opportunity to continue to raise standards in the sector.
