The end of the run of Vanilla and the Villains was on Sep. 27, 1930. The Elizabethon Star (TN) wrote on that date: "Vanilla and the Villian comic quits today." The strip, which I'll send to you, has Stonewall blowing up Von Villain. In the last frame, Stonewall declares to Vanilla: "The Villain is ended, sweetheart, and we're going home."
