Billboard Latin Charts Reflecting — and revealing further to the world — the growth of Latin music in the United States, Billboard unveiled its first Latin charts in 1985, with the inaugural Latin Pop Albums, Regional Mexican Albums and Tropical Albums charts. The Hot Latin Songs chart arrived in 1986, showcasing the spirit and vibrancy of the hottest tracks in the U.S. performed primarily in Spanish; today, the ranking blends streaming, radio airplay and sales data, with data for all Billboard Latin music charts provided by Luminate. Pan-genre albums chart Top Latin Albums first published in 1993. Gloria Estefan, Juan Gabriel, Enrique Iglesias, Luis Miguel and Selena were among the first Latin chart-toppers, while, in the 2020s, the likes of Bad Bunny, Fuerza Regida, Karol G, Ozuna, Peso Pluma, Romeo Santos and Shakira have dominated with No. 1s and/or record-breaking achievements. In April 2025, Billboard introduced four new Hot Latin Songs sub-genre charts — Hot Latin Pop Songs, Hot Latin Rhythm Songs, Hot Regional Mexican Songs and Hot Tropical Songs — joining other Latin rankings measuring album consumption and songs’ streaming, airplay and sales.
