The City of Beaconsfield is modernizing its water meter network to improve reading accuracy and support better water consumption management.
This initiative is part of the City’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and compliance with provincial requirements and environmental goals.

Phase 1 of the project will begin in November 2025 and continue through spring and summer 2026. Approximately 1,000 water meters will be replaced during this first stage. Additional phases will follow until all water meters across the City have been replaced. The schedule may vary depending on the area.

  1. notice by mail will be sent by the City of Beaconsfield before the visit.

  4. The contractor will temporarily shut off the water supply to replace the meter, either from the interior shut-off valve, the exterior valve, or another appropriate method.
  5. All work will be performed in compliance with the current Québec Construction Code.
  6. The plumber will take photos of the meter and plumbing before and after the installation.
  7. Once completed, the contractor will restore and clean the work area.
