Memberships are temporarily offline

We're excited to announce that the Friends of the Memorial program is becoming the Members program on Friday, 2 June 2026.

While we make this transition, our membership system will be briefly offline.

From 2 June, renewals will move to the new membership structure — we look forward to welcoming you as a Member.

Upcoming changes to memberships

The Friends of the Memorial program is becoming the Members program.  Renewals under the current program close on 15 May 2026 at 5:00pm AEST.

After this time, renewals will occur under the new membership structure from 2 June 2026.

All Friends with an active membership before 1 June 2026 will be recognised as Foundation Members, acknowledging their long-term support.

Foundation Members receive transitional benefits until June 2029.

Foundation Members will have access to:

• Discounted membership pricing until June 2029
• Discounted access to the End of Year Function from 2026 to 2028
• Continued recognition of their membership tenure provided their membership remains continuous.

Membership includes enhanced experiences and inclusions

Members will receive:

• A full calendar of events, including special tours and the annual gala
• Two editions of WM Magazine each year (1 per household)
• Discounts at the Memorial Shop and Cafés

Key things to know before you renew

• Renewals under the current program close on 15 May 2026 at 5:00pm AEST 
  After this time, renewals will occur under the new membership structure from 2 June 2026.
• Current memberships can only be extended to a maximum expiry of 1 June 2029
  If a renewal is processed that extends a membership beyond June 2029, the most recent payment will be refunded and the expiry date adjusted back to 2029.
• Foundation Member discounts apply from June 2026 to June 2029
  Members active before 1 June 2026 will receive discounted pricing under the updated structure during this period.
• Upgrading your membership may affect Foundation pricing
  Foundation Members may upgrade to a higher membership tier at any time. However, once upgraded, future access to Foundation Member discounted rates on standard memberships between 2026 and 2029 will no longer apply.
• Membership tenure is preserved
  As long as your membership remains continuous, your membership tenure will carry over under the new structure, including if you upgrade.
• Additional member arrangements are changing
  The “additional member” option is being replaced with Dual memberships. Members with two or more additional members will receive separate communication outlining how their membership will transition.
• Donation options are flexible
  Members may nominate up to two areas of interest for their donation, or choose to have their contribution directed entirely according to the Memorial’s priorities.
