Anna Filipova is an award-winning journalist, environmental photographer and filmmaker. She has been working for the International New York Times, BBC, National Geographic Society and has been published in the New York Times, Washington Post, The Guardian, BBC, Wired and Reuters, amongst others.

With 12 years of specialization in the Arctic, Anna explores environmental and scientific topics in remote and inaccessible areas across the Polar region. She is a grantee of the Pulitzer Center, European Journalism Centre, International Women’s Media Foundation and National Geographic, etc

Anna’s project on the biggest Ground Satellite Station in the World, was selected for the New York Times Photo project’s of the Year. Anne Hidalgo, the mayor of Paris (France), honored her as a Climate Heroine.

Anna Filipova is globally recognized as one of the top Environmental photographers of the Arctic.
