    I know what some people are thinking why do you need cds anymore, I have had some bad I have several Ipods but have had some bad experienceWhen getting a new laptop my account didn’t recognize this new device and as a result failed to dowload alot of my albums. So I've decided to go old school and buy a cd player & cds used where available
    This CD arrived a day early and is an excellent collection of snow patrol songs from their recent past albums and original work. I have most of these albums but its great to have all my favourites in one place.
    Would definitely recommend this for any snow patrol fan.

    Five stars means 'I love it' on Amazon ratings. I do.

    I always liked Snow Patrol's singles. However I listened to one of their albums on Youtube and found some of the album tracks not for me. Anywa, wanting their singles I took a dare. This was the cheaper collection album; the other being Best of, which was twice as much. A bigger risk.

    Anyway figuring paying £5 for four five definite tracks I liked, that was enough. To my surprise, there is only one track, a cover of Beyoncés - Crazy in Love, that I don't like. The rest of this 2CD album is excellent. I loved on first play.

    They got it right.

    Have been a fan of Snow Patrol for some time and this brings together the best of their work so far. It doesn't disappoint. Many of the songs have haunting and incredibly moving lyrics sung beautifully by Gary Lightbody who is credited with writing almost all the tracks. His voice gets under your skin and must surely melt the hardest of hearts. Favourite tracks I would urge people to start with - Run, Chocolate, You're All I Have, Crack the Shutters, Set The Fire to the Third Bar, Chasing Cars, Just Say Yes, The Planets Bend Between Us and Open Your Eyes - brilliant.

    `Up to Now', as the title suggests, is a selection of tracks from Snow Patrols's career up to the date of this albums release. You get a wide range of their music across two discs from well known tracks like `Chocolate', `Chasing Cars' and `Run' to live tracks, covers (Beyonce's `Crazy In Love' originally played for BBC's live lounge) and three new tracks for this collection. On listening to this CD you soon notice just how many of Snow Patrols songs you know and their music has obviously slipped into your consciousness without you even realising it. They manage to carry off light rock and ballads with equal aplomb and this showcases the best of their music in one place. A good introduction to the band or if you want a taste of what they offer without buying the entire back catalogue.

    Then I felt I had to get a few of their albums and listen to them at my owwn pace and liked what I heard.
    I am one of the old school and it takes a lot to turn me onto a lot of what we call todays music.
    From what Ive heard on the albums so far I was very pleased,still have a few more albums to listen to as of yet.
    Well worth the money for what I paid for.

    I had lost one of my other Snow Patrol albums and was on here to buy another copy of it. Lo and behold, I come across "Up to Now", not knowing SP even HAD a greatest hits album out. To make this suprise even more pleasant, I scroll down and see that it's a 2-disc collection! All my favorites on here [Crack the Shutters, Hands Open, Chocolate] plus other great songs that I'd never heard before [like Cartwheels].

    This is by far the best greatest hits album since U2 released their 1980 - 1990 collection - a must have for any Snow Patrol fan.
