I limiti costituzionali all'appello del pubblico ministero, 2020
La recente decisione della Corte costituzionale offre lo spunto per una riflessione sistematica, anche in prospettiva di riforma, sul ruolo del pubblico ministero e su una più corretta rimodulazione del diritto ad impugnare delle parti.
in Diritto Pubblico, 3, 2023 Today, current developments in technology (smart contracts, blockchain applications, etc.) are forcing us to reconsider the relationship that exists between law and free will, between the force that the law has to compel us to observe its commands and the active participation of the subjects who are its recipients. Why does the law aim to guide social conduct, through rewards and punishments, rather than directly cause it? The essay attempts to answer this question by showing how the belief that the law cannot be a direct «cause» of behaviour has its origin in the Christian tradition’s reading of Aristotle.

The pandemic’s context is rife with numerous dangerous threats and high fear levels, influencing human decision-making. Such characteristics are identified by investigating the acceptance of exposure detection apps from the technology acceptance model (TAM) perspective. This study purposed a model to investigate protection technology acceptance, specifically exposure detection apps in the context of COVID-19. Quantitative study approach and a cross-section design targeted 586 participants from Saudi Arabia. As the study model is complex, the study hypotheses were analysed using the structural equation modelling–partial least squares (SEM-PLS3) approach. The findings support the entire model hypothesis except the link between social media awareness and exposure detection apps’ intention. Mediation of COVID-19 anxiety and influence was confirmed as well. The current paper contributes to the technologies acceptance domain by developing a context-driven model comprising the major pandem...

Although the inverse relationship between plasma levels of high-density lipoprotein (HDL) and cardiovascular disease has been largely demonstrated, many observations have suggested that the assessment of HDL functionality might be more informative than a simple measurement of HDL-cholesterol plasma levels. HDLs are a class of structurally and functionally heterogeneous particles; in atherosclerosis-related diseases, changes in HDL subfraction levels and functions are frequently observed. Circulating levels of large HDL particles are decreased in dyslipidaemic conditions, while levels of small dense HDL particles are increased in patients with coronary heart disease. Furthermore, specific genetic defects in proteins involved in HDL metabolism significantly impact the distribution of HDL subpopulations. Finally, many drugs used for dyslipidaemia induce changes in HDL subfractions strictly related to cardiovascular disease. Although several methods exist to evaluate HDL subclass levels...

Objectives: This study investigated the psychometric properties of the Italian version of a French scale to detect attitudes toward same-sex parenting. Method: The Italian sample was split into two subsamples. On one, exploratory factor analysis (EFA) was conducted to detect the factor structure of the Italian scale, and on the other, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was run to find the data's best fit model. The scales' internal consistency was evaluated using Cronbach's alpha. The questionnaire's convergent validity was also evaluated. Results: EFA extracted a four-factor solution, in accordance with the original French scale's validation study. CFA showed that the translated scale had good consistency, similar to that of the original version, showing satisfactory internal consistency for three of four subscales. Conclusions: There will be benefits to further validation studies of the translated scale on the Italian population and it may possibly be innovative and useful in both research and social fields.
