[close] Current times are crazy and difficult for many in the world right now. This club is to remind us of classic books, banned or challenged books, and history books so we don’t forget nor repeat past mistakes. This is also a safe place to discuss thoughts and concerns on books we have read and comparing them to present day. We will try and focus on 1 book a month and have discussions about them! All are welcome here!

[close] This group is for enthusiastic people seeking a different type of reading challenge. Rather than tallying how many books you read, keep track of what you read and how many pages are in each book you finish. It's easy-start a thread with your name in the title (and make sure to bookmark that thread for later) and then as you finish a book, jot down the title, author and number of pages in the thread. As you add books, also track the grand total of pages you've read so far. You can set a goal of how many pages you want to read in a year, or just see how far you can go. Best of all as Goodreads usually lists how many pages are in each edition of a book you don't have to join at the start of the year-you can jump in any time and go back and add up everything you've already read so far. Of course you are always welcome to discuss anything else you'd like-start a thread about it! And make sure to comment on others' lists if you're of a mind to. Remember to add your books to the group shelf and have fun! Bookworms! welcomes new authors-tell us about your book! However discussing the same topic again and again is called spamming. I understand if you have a book you want to sell or a story you want to tell. But repeated posts regarding that book or story when you in no other way contribute to this forum tells me that, sadly, you might be happier posting somewhere else.

[close] We're here because we like reading and we like chatting about reading. But we are here especially because we strongly believe that reading is not just something we do alone, but something that can unite people of different kinds, all over the world! This group really is all about books! In terms of group reads we have a monthly fiction book and a bi-monthly group read of a classic. We feature dedicated sections for non-fiction, poetry, short stories and drama. We also have weekly poetry postings (the Monday Poem). Quarterly there is a group discussion of non-fiction books in which members are encouraged to read books that relate to a specific theme and another theme for short stories. We feature a yearly challenge which varies from year to year in form. In addition, we have a section for people to post their yearly personal challenges and books read during the year.
