Emma Stone channeled her wild side with a minimalist edge in a leopard print skirt and black long-sleeve knit during her appearance on “Late Night With Seth Meyers” on Thursday night in New York City as part of her “Bugonia” press tour.
The Louis Vuitton brand ambassador did elevated cozy dressing with both minimalist elements and statement pieces. Stone’s versatile black knit top was designed with long sleeves, a slight V-shaped neckline, a loose fit and cinched cuffs.

The cozy piece marked an ideal autumnal staple, with a multifaceted design for dressing up or dressing down, depending on the occasion. For “Late Night With Seth Meyers,” Stone elevated the look by adding a leopard-print miniskirt as the statement piece of her ensemble.

Channeling some wild style with the leopard print, Stone, who often collaborates with stylist Petra Flannery, ensured the piece wasn’t overpowering, opting for a mini hemline and understated material that only served to complement and augment her refined attire. With the addition of a simple, delicate necklace and strappy black sandal heels, Stone’s look mirrored a trendy, seasonal approach to animal prints.

Leopard print’s ubiquity can be traced back decades. The animal print featured on the runway in high-fashion designs of Christian Dior dating back to 1947. From there, fashion icons like Audrey Hepburn also incorporated the print on and off screen — most notably, Hepburn wore a pillbox leopard print hat in her 1963 film “Charade.”
Along with Stone, contemporary celebrities like Tracee Ellis Ross and Doja Cat styled the statement-making leopard print — Ross wore Alaïa heels featuring the print during her podcast interview with Emma Grede, while Doja Cat channeled old school glamour in a skirt suit with the animal print motif in the front row of Balmain’s fashion show in March.

For the last several weeks, Stone has been promoting her new film “Bugonia,” which follows two conspiracy theory-obsessed young men, played by Jesse Plemons and Aidan Delbis, who kidnap a high-power CEO of a pharmaceutical company, played by Stone, convinced she’s an alien sent to destroy the planet. The film is in theaters now.
