We support any S3-compatible storage provider, including AWS S3, DigitalOcean Spaces, Cloudflare R2, Wasabi, Backblaze B2, MinIO, OVHcloud, Scaleway, and more. The plugin includes S3-compatible provider selection to identify specific storage services (e.g., MinIO, OVHcloud, Scaleway). If it supports the S3 API, it works with our plugin.
Existing media files continue to work as normal. You can optionally migrate existing files to cloud storage, or only offload new uploads. The plugin handles URL rewriting automatically.
Your media files remain safely stored in your cloud storage. However, WordPress will look for them locally. We recommend keeping a backup or using our migration tool to copy files back before deactivating.
Yes! Most S3-compatible storage providers offer built-in CDN capabilities. You can also configure custom CDN URLs to serve media through your preferred CDN service.
