The North Carolina attorney general is warning people to be on the lookout for scammers taking advantage of the coronavirus pandemic. “At a time when we should be focusing on taking necessary health precautions and staying safe, some bad actors are focusing on taking people’s hard-earned money,” said Attorney General Josh Stein. “I want North Carolinians to protect their health and their wallets.

CAMPBELL CO. , Va. (WSET) -- A local Christmas display was vandalized and the organizer wasn't sure he would be able to save his display. "If I wouldn't have been able to fix anything that they did, it would have probably been $600 or $700," said Anthony Settje, the organizer. Settje has been doing his Christmas display for about 16 years. Luckily, Settje was able to fix all of the displays broken except three of them. (WSET)

Summerville woman from viral video at pool pleads guilty to assault & battery
Stephanie Sebby Strempel, the Summerville woman who was seen on viral video telling African American children they were not allowed at the neighborhood pool, plead guilty today to assault and battery third degree, a misdemeanor. She was not in the Dorchester County courthouse Monday, but was represented by her attorney,according to the magistrate's office. She was fined $1,000 and has ten days to pay, according to the magistrate's office.
