Resources for Facilities
As part of the overarching Forward Plan of World Curling, Facilities was one of the Big Ideas identified as a key factor in the sustainable development of the sport. A decision was taken on creating a task force to research and produce a Facilities Strategy to guide and support the facilities development journey of the Federation.
After extensive research in partnership with Sustainable Venue Solutions and World Academy of Sport, a strategy document was created.
The strategy document’s primary objective is to assist curling in its next phase of growth. It provides a roadmap to integrate facilities as a key pillar of the sport in partnership with our Member Associations.
The report integrates many of the operating areas of World Curling, such as commercial, development, events and sustainability considerations by connecting them to a more targeted global approach to facilities taking each element into account.
