In reply to: [Meta for WooCommerce] Cookies being set before customer consentHello,
I’m having the same issue using GDPR Cookie Compliance Plugin. There it’s properly configured to disable cookies when consent is not enabled. I realized all the data was anyway being passed because I had more sales in the Facebook events than in Google Analytics, and the sales in the Facebook events are the same as in Wocommerce. So clearly this plug is overriding the configuration from GDPR Cookie compliance.
We are not using any hardcoded code because the GDPR cookie compliance tool clearly says we shouldn’t do that. Based on this thread I see that you are totally aware and it’s something that needs to be solved by your plug in and not the cookie plug in.
Could you please inform the status? we are a very small shop, operating in Germany, and we would like to avoid issues.
Thanks in advance.
Luciana
Ah ok! thanks for the quick reply.
thanks!
I guess this needs to be pasted in the 3rd party cookies section in the header script?Hi, sorry I don’t think this is exactly what I asked.
I don’t want to block Woocommerce plugin Cookies, but the extra plug in that connects Woocommerce data with Google Analytics.
That’s not strictly necessary as Woocommerce doesn’t need the integration with Google Analytics for working. It’s just a plugin to enable the use of Google Analytics Ecommerce together with Woocommerce.
So what I need to understand is that GDPR compliance can block the cookies that are just for the integration.
But I guess I need to wait for the answer from Woocomerce Google Analytics Integration plugin as they must know better how their plugin works.

Hi!
I was looking exactly for this thread.
I’m also using GDPR Cookie Compliance and I have already configured the 3rd Party Cookie script blocker and works perfectly for both GA and GTM.
Now I would like to also start using Google Analytics Ecommerce but I don’t understand where I should put the code you mentioned above. Is it in the plug in or directly in the code of the page?
I really like the GDRP Cookie compliance Plugin as its free version is quite robust.
thanks for the help!thanks for the quick answer!!! it worked perfectly 🙂
