  • @fredsted : would appreciate a ‘reset log’ or delete log option for your much appreciated WordPress plugin : some ip-addresses from which scores of log-in attempts were made in the past have not been able to do so after they were blocked, it would help if I could delete or reset the log and thus find recent ‘repeat offenders’, please.

Not sure whether you still write plugins, but reset or option to remove individual entries once the ip-address is added to the block list would really help.

Looking forward, with best regards and ‘vriendelijke groet’ (Dutch for friendly greeting),

    Dear TomatoSlayer,

Wasn’t able to resolve, after consultation with the club for whom I built the site we decided to drop the individual member login; replaced it with a password restricted directory where members can download relevant files; user name and password published in each quarterly newsletter, old credentials removed after seven months.

Seems correct to keep forum members updated on progress.

Andy Stratton responded within a couple hours, and suggested a couple of steps to solve the problem.

Andy’s experience is that the plugin works on a fresh install of WP 4.0, I also did a fresh install, using Softaculous as provided in cPanel, and found that the plugin brought me to mydomain.tld/wp-login.php, and that was it, a blank page.

Andy’s offer to troubleshoot on a work-order basis at USD 150/hr does not make sense for me, this site is set up as a favour to some friends, do not get paid myself or reimbursed for expenses.

So is it resolved? Will await responses from people who have got the plugin working on WP4.0 before marking it as resolved.
