In reply to: [Neve] Does Neve Support Native Excerpt-Based Search Behavior?I appreciate your reply.
The default search for excepts appears to show the item[s] being search for as they appear in post titles.
Happily I was able to enhance this search by installing the JetPack Search widget which refines the terms being sought to all posts as they may appear within each respective post by relevance which for my purposes works very well.
I might add how happy I am with the Neve Theme. From the moment I activated it my Google Page Speed Scores improved greatly.
Thank you
Lewis

In reply to: [Neve] Does Neve Support Native Excerpt-Based Search Behavior? Thanks for the reply.
By “native excerpt-based search behavior,” I’m referring to search results that display post excerpts (not just titles), without requiring JavaScript spinners or plugin-based enhancements. Specifically:
✅ Static HTML output of excerpts in search results ❌ No AJAX spinner or dynamic loading ❌ No plugin dependency (e.g., Relevanssi)
GeneratePress achieves this natively—search results show clean excerpts without plugins or spinners. Neve, by contrast, seems to return title-only results unless enhanced via plugin, which WordPress.com users cannot install.
Can you confirm whether Neve supports excerpt output in search results without plugin dependency? If not, is there a theme in your ecosystem that matches Neve’s PageSpeed performance and delivers native excerpt-based search fidelity?
Thanks again.

In reply to: [GeneratePress] How to find additional WidgetsWell, I do not know which page Generate Press is referring to either which is why I came to their community to find out. Since Generate Press sent me the message I had hoped one of their representatives could tell me.
Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [GeneratePress] How to find additional WidgetsThe issue is not that I want to edit a wiget.
The issue is that Generate Press is sending me a message that there is another page with widgets on it.
I am trying to find out how to navigate to whatever page they are referring to.
Thank you
Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [GeneratePress] How to find additional WidgetsI am aware that I can go to appearace..widgets and few widgets.
But apparently that is not ALL of the widgets as Generate Press is presenting a message to me that says:
“Your theme has 6 other widget areas, but this particular page does not display them.
You can navigate to other pages on your site while using the Customizer to view and edit the widgets displayed on those pages
You can navigate to other pages on your site while using the Customizer to view and edit the widgets displayed on those pages.”
So, when I go to appearance…widgets, I do see some widgets
BUT..Generate Press tell me that that page does NOT display the “6 other widgets” band that the page I am viewing other widgets “does NOT display them.”
I need instructions on how to navigate to the page that does show them.
How do I do this?
Thank you
Thank you. Conversion ID found. Mission Accomplished.
In trying to fill out the Form, I have it all filled out but at the very top it says: “Site Kit Encountered an Error.
I am not able to see or answer the queston. Above the space for the answer it is blurred.
How do I fix this?
I do not recall making any changes to AdSense or to SiteKit. Until this issue reared its ugly head, AdSense has worked like a charm.
Views on my site remain steady and very good.
The problem is that for some unknown reason I have not received a single cent of income for two days now.
I will say then just prior to placing the original post on this thread that when entering SiteKit, there was an offering for me to place a message on my posts asking readers to disable their AdBlockers on my Site.
The problem is that subscribers are complaining that even when they disable their AdBlocker, the the message asking them to disable the AdBlocker keeps coming up.
I would like to get rid of that feature but I do not know how to do this.
Thank you
Based on the documentation, AMP can potentially cause conflicts and isn’t necessarily recommended for WordPress.com sites.
Here’s why:
Potential Conflicts:
AMP can conflict with both Jetpack and Rank Math features
It strips away many functionalities to achieve faster loading
Can cause display issues with other plugins
Important Note:
WordPress.com themes are already mobile-friendly
AMP is not required for mobile optimization on WordPress.com
As per the documentation: “Keep in mind that using AMP strips away a lot of functionality on your site (layout, many features) for mobile visitors”
Of course, WordPress will always promote themselves over any alternative options.
In your experience is it safe and worthwhile installing AMP for my site?
Thank you.
I greatly appreciate your informative reply.
With the holidays over for me tomorrow I will commence working on the AMP issues.
Best regards,
Lewis
James:
Thank you for your concise, informative response.
Yesterday several minutes after I first installed and activated the AMP4WP Plugin this critical error popped up:
“Autoloaded options could affect performance
Autoloaded options are configuration settings for plugins and themes that are automatically loaded with every page load in WordPress. Having too many autoloaded options can slow down your site. Your site has 1484 autoloaded options (size: 798 KB) in the options table, which could cause your site to be slow. You can review the options being autoloaded in your database and remove any options that are no longer needed by your site.”
I do not know if this is related to AMP4WP but I have asked WordPress to diagnose and fix it.
I just installed, Activated, and Setup AMP4WP so hopefully you can now check for any AMP compatible AdSense code.
Hope this works.
Thank you
I just installed this plugin.
In going through “Settings” an image comes up saying: “Available in Standalone Mode”
This image will not go away. How do I get rid of it?
I am also getting this message from WordPress: The configuration of AMPforWP and Rank Math SEO plugin is seems incorrect. Please go to AMPforWP plugin settings -> SEO -> SEO Plugin Integration and select Rank Math SEO plugin from the drop down. but the image on mentioned above blocks me from doing this.
WordPress Support is telling me:
- All WordPress.com themes are already mobile-friendly by default, so AMP isn’t required for a good mobile experience.
- While you can technically install the AMP plugin, you should be aware that:
- AMP strips away many features and functionality from your site for mobile visitors
- It significantly alters the layout to achieve faster loading times
- It works best only if your theme was specifically designed with AMP in mind
- Is there an advantage to my using this AMP and will I have any compatibility using it with either WordPress/JetPack, SitekKit by Google or my Twenty-15 Theme
Thank you
The difficulties I am facing are that:
- I do not know how to find the Plugin, Snippet, Widget, Site, etc. which may be the source[s] of the redundant codes.
- I shall not be providing any support from my Hosting Provider (WordPress) any time soon. They are very fond of telling their subscribers that helping us on 3rd Party Apps is “Beyond the Scope of their Support” even though they promote these 3rd Party Apps.
- But happily you have given me more substantive assistance than WordPress or JetPack.
Thank you
James:
I greatly appreciate you reply as it is the most substantively informative I have received.
- I would like to remove the PayPal Snippet [Widget?] you provided in the image.
I do not know how to find the Snippet. Is this something you could do on your end or instruct me how to do it on my end?
I would much rather keep the Site Kit connection to AdSense
- However I did find the “select the option within Site Kit to not allow the plugin to insert your AdSense snippet” under the Site Kit Connected Services and disabled it.
If the PayPal snippet could be disabled I would reconnect using the Site Kit Option
Also, I am getting the following notice from JetPack:
“. JetPack: **Consolidate Google Tags**
– You currently have multiple Google Tag Manager implementations running
– Consolidate all Google tags (Analytics, Ads, etc.) into a single GTM container
– Remove redundant tags
Could you provide some of your sage advice on how to repair this? I can see that “Tag Manager” is associated with Site Kit via its “Connected Services.”
Thank you
